Healthier Carrot Cake

To make this healthy version of a carrot cake a person is going to need:

  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of applesauce
  • ½ cup skin milk
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp ground clove
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbs cinnamon
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 can of crushed pineapple
  • 2 cup shredded carrots
  • ½ cup chopped walnut
  • ½ cup raisins

Before starting to make the cake batter grease a pan with non stick cooking spray. To make the cake start with the egg whites. Put them into a bowl and beat them until they are well mixed. Using an electric mixer beat in the applesauce, the milk, and the vanilla. Add the cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking soda, and both flours. Add the pineapple and mix well. All the nuts and mix well. Add the raisins and also mix well. Put the mixture into the greased pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
