Healthy & Tasty Vegetable Ham & Pasta Soup

Soup is a liquid food, typically served warm or hot. It may contain meat and vegetables with stock, juice, water or other liquid. Here is a recipe of vegetable ham and pasta, which contains ham, macaroni pasta and some fresh vegetables. Ham hocks are available in most of the super shops, especially over the winter seasons.


  • Ham hock – 1
  • Zucchini (sliced) – 2
  • Carrots (sliced) – 3
  • Celery stalks (sliced) – 3
  • Cauliflower florets – 2 Cups
  • Potatoes (cut into chunks) – 3
  • Chicken stock – 6 Cups
  • Oregano – 1 Tsp
  • Rosemary or thyme – 1 Tsp
  • Onion (sliced) – 1
  • Cloves garlic (crushed) – 2
  • Dijon mustard – 2 Tsp
  • Macaroni pasta – 1 ½ Cups


  • Remove all the fat from the ham and put into a pot over a low heat with onion and stock. Cook for about 4 hours or until properly cooked.
  • Then bring out the ham. Slice the meat off the bone and place back over the low heat. Add all the other ingredients to the ham except pasta and cook for 2-4 hours. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the macaroni pasta in the soup and cook for about 15 – 20 minutes.
